Sheriff Joe Bags
Sheriff Joe Bags has been the host of the Rams Showcase podcast on Sports War Radio since episode 1 released on March 15, 2016.
Joe began his Rams coverage a few years before Rams Showcase began on the now defunct website truluvsports.com which was started by Mark Wilson. Joe quickly became one of the most viewed writers on the site and entered into a management role that included editing for other writers. After a few years covering the then St. Louis Rams in written form, the Rams relocated to one of the larger markets in the country and it was time to transition into a more individualized brand and increase coverage and Rams Showcase was born. Originally part of the TruLuvSports Network, Rams Showcase continued to grow and would quickly partner with The Jets Zone Podcast hosted by Paul Esden Jr (@BoyGreen25) to create Sports War Radio. SWR has since grown into multiple sports podcasts as well as some lifestyle podcasts but is largely represented by it’s two flagship shows, Rams Showcase & The Jets Zone.
After a few years of an audio only podcast, Rams Showcase grew into having a video version for YouTube. Rams Showcase never saw a large explosion on YouTube, but gained a loyal additional following of people who had not yet heard the show. YouTube was a big part of Rams Showcase and the channel remains up with select sentimental content. No decisions on the future of that channel are expected to be made soon.
Which brings us to the current generation of Rams Showcase, a full website. RamsShowcase.com features the Rams Showcase podcast as well as other written and video content from Sheriff Joe Bags about the LA Rams.
Along with Rams Showcase, Joe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sportscasting from Full Sail University. With an untimely 2020 graduation, Joe first broke into the media field in late 2021 at FOX21 in Colorado Springs in Traffic. Shortly after starting at Nexstar, Joe had an opportunity for an on-air position at 94.3 KILO in Colorado Springs. Having been a life-long listener of the station, Joe made the transition and remains in that role now. Joe can be heard on KILO Monday-Friday 7-midnight & Saturday 6-midnight MST.
The bulk of Joe’s work experience is in health care where he worked with adults with developmental disabilities for 9 years.
Joe has lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado his entire life, but is ready and willing to move to Los Angeles if an opportunity to work for the LA Rams ever came up *cough cough*
